The Festival aux Chandelles is an international classical music festival since 1962.

The festival gives a special place to the music of today and the music of Johann Sebastian Bach.

It takes place in the city of Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines (68160), in the Val d'Argent, in Alsace.

The festival owes its name to the approximately 200 candles which illuminate, on concert evenings, the church of Saint-Pierre-sur-l'Hâte.

After a few years of interruption, a new edition of the festival, led by a renewed team, is scheduled during the weekend of the 2024 Feast of the Ascension (May 9-12, 2024).
